Industrias Negromex SA de CV (INSA) is part of KUO Group, one of Mexico’s most important conglomerates. INSA is Mexico’s only producer of Emulsion Synthetic Rubber and Nitrile Butadiene Rubber, and it was the first privately-held company in Mexico to have its own petrochemical terminal to receive and store the raw materials used in the manufacturing of synthetic rubber.
For more than 40 years, INSA has produced a number of innovative rubbers that are used to make a broad range of products such as chewing gum, footwear, adhesives, tires, sealants, textiles, and paper products.
INSA’s plant is located in the city of Altamira, in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas – one of the most important industrial corridors on the Gulf Coast of Mexico. The plant, which has recently undergone several changes to improve production and processes, has a current capacity of 150,000 metric tons per year.
